This is going to be a what is in the bag. What changes I have made for my golf bag in 2026. I change things in my golf bag to things that work for me. So, its not always the newest clubs or latest releases. I am not chasing the latest and greatest, thus I am not on tour so nothing is free. My goal when I am playing golf is to hit well and score low.

Top end of the Golf Bag
The top end of my golf bag is going to stay the same for the 2026 Season. All of these clubs have been providing me with great strikes. I want to thank Callaway for an impressive driver. Tour Edge for the forgiving woods that they have built. I know most people do not think of Tour Edge. If you are not trying them you are missing out.
- Driver : Callaway AI Smoke 10.5*
- 1st Wood : Tour Edge E724 3 Wood 16*
- 2nd Wood : Tour Edge E724 5 Wood 20*
Iron Set for 2026
My Iron set for 2026 has made a large change. I went from the Cobra LTDx to the Wilson D7. The Cobra LTDX being the newer clubs with the KBS shafts. I struggled to play then well. This was even after giving them the season and training with them in nets and at the range. Wilson D7 are a distance and very forgiving iron set thus, giving me better strikes and gaining yards. I took the irons out the play a round. I hit them so great the striking was also much better. Also, how much height I was getting with them.

- Wilson D7 Iron Set 6- PW, GW with the UST Mamiya Recoil 460
2026 Wedges in the 52*, 56* and 60*
Again, I chose the Tour Edge brand for the wedge set. I find it easier to see the degree of the face. This helps me choose it for yardage. I was playing some old Adams Tom Watson wedges. So, on this upgrade, I chose the same degrees but just some newer clubs. Wedge and me are a love, hate relationship. I can hit a 52* 90yrds land it great. Although I can not chip it 20 yards to hit the green. Its funny when you see the ball miss the green completely and land in some trees or someone’s yard.
2026 Putter Incoming!!

This is where, I am most excited for the 2026 Season. Did I need a new to me putter? No! Did I want one? YES!
I ordered a Odyssey Ai-ONE Cruiser LE Jailbird Double Bend Putter with the 17” Odyssey grip.
Last two years, I was using a Wilson West loop Half mallet, and a Cobra King Vintage Stingray 40 mallet. The performance of the cobra was rough last year. I seem to be doing a bit better this year, but it’s not consistent. I was looking at putters and found this one at Callawaypreowned.com for under $200.
