Important Clubs to have in your Bag Battle

Battles of the Golf bag are very consistent with me. Knowing the driver I have in my bag is the one I will be using for a long time. I have a Callaway AI Smoke, purchased last year when PGA Superstore and Callaway was doing their trade-in double bonus. I went to the store to buy a Cobra LTDx driver and left with an AI Smoke.

Irons

The Irons I use in the bag are, either Cobra LTDx which i do not do that well with. Believing its a lie issue or some older Apex Irons that I do decent with when I strike them. Playing my last two rounds with the Apex and they will stay in the bag for more testing. Finding the Apex easier to hit I just need to dial in the distance.

Wedges

My Wedges are OLD Adams Tom Watson 52, 56, 60. I should upgrade them, but I need to get better at the short game. Before I invest more then the $60 I paid for all three, replaced the grips. My need to improve is there because I hit them super inconsistent. I can either hit them 20 yards or snot rocket them 3 fairways over. It has to do with my stance and what I do when trying to hit. After my last round a week ago, I went to the drawing board. I went back to Youtube to understand what I need to be doing versus what I am doing.

Putters – For better or worse

My Putter, I had a Wilson putter I loved back when I began and paid nothing for it really. I did real well with it. Of Course, I sold it and purchased another more “blade” type. For all the love in the world, I can not for the world align with it and will ALWAYS miss. When I say always I mean that. So back to a Mallet putter, I settled for the Cobra Stingray 40. I can’t scoop the ball up but man I can sink some putts.

Bag

The bag I use is a Callaway Fairway 14-way black just a basic bag, get kind of heavy at times. But I carry to much with my on trips. I will give you more info on all of this including what golf balls I play. What I like and What I do not like. Having a spot for each club was easier for me rather then having a lighter golf bag. I never walk a course and always use a cart so weight isn’t high on my list.
